Tag Tuition
Turning TAG’s classroom curriculum into a series of illustrated workbooks children could explore on their own.
TAG had years of exercises, ideas and teaching methods developed in the classroom. We wanted to keep what made those lessons special, but make them work without a teacher in the room.
Working with founder Amy and the teaching team, we expanded the brand and website to turn the curriculum into a series of 16-page workbooks built around making, drawing, decoding and discovery.
Learning by doing
All exercises, narrative and booklet structure was driven by lesson’s learn’t by staff in the classroom, we reimagined and even invented new activities tailored for self directed study such as:
Different worlds, one system
I created a visual world for each series using original illustration, hand printed textures and graphic layouts, held together by a shared set of reusable components.
That system gave TAG a starting point for producing future books themselves, including the later scholarship and 11+ series.
The collection has since grown across astronomy, cryptology, archaeology, naturalism, metamorphosis and riddles and runes.
